Behind the design and development of the Gesso material stands Danish designer – Jonas Edvard – his work is characterized by a will to create sustainable materials and products – in order to change our way of life for the better of the planet. Jonas Edvard’s work is both holistic thinking and modern – bringing together the need for sustainable and beautiful objects with the accuracy and perfection of Danish Design.

The work of Jonas Edvard has been shown internationally since he established his studio in 2012 – He has received several awards and prizes for his work on sustainable design including The Finn Juhl prize in 2016 and Green furniture Award in 2014. His work is a part of the permanent collections of: The Danish Design Museum(DK), Centre Pompidou(FR) and The Art Institute of Chicago(US). and Trapholt Museum of Art and Design
