The Gesso material

Produced by hand in Denmark from local ressources.

The Gesso project uses Coral limestone locally sourced from Danish quarries, where limestone is broken down into multiple uses. The Limestone is a precious material – up to 65 mill years old - it contains calcium from the shell of old marine animals – corals and plankton – which used to live in the tropical sea of Denmark before the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
